Debunking the Beauty Industry.

It is hard to find out the history of this company.

In their “our story” webpage there are only two sentences: "For over 20 years, we've created the scents that make you smile. Whether you're shopping for fragrant body care or a 3-wick candle, we have hundreds of quality products perfect for treating yourself or someone else." That’s all.

The Wikipedia states that the company was founded in 1990 in a small town in Ohio by a Jewish entrepreneur and today a billionaire, Les Wexner. Wexner owns a marketing conglomerate, which currently includes: Victoria's Secret, Pink, Bath & Body Works, Henri Bendel, The White Barn Candle Company, and La Senza.

Wexner contributes money to Jewish causes through his Wexner Foundation whose goal is to strengthen the field of Jewish leadership. One of his programs, an Israel Fellowship, funds Israeli public officials for a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Bath & Body Works’ products are on a cheap side. Their 8oz body creams sell for $13.5 and often are offered on special sales: buy 3 get 3 free.

Their products have a very strong, long-lasting smell, which means the company is using harmful chemical fragrance. I got a headache after staying in the store for 10 minutes.

LOVELY DREAMER Ultra Shea Body Cream contains 2 highly toxic, 9 moderately toxic ingredients and 1 animal product.

While natural ingredients such as Cocoa Seed Butter or Shea Butter are fine, they are not organic ,and, as such, they are contaminated with pesticides and chemical soil enrichment to grow faster and bigger.

Aloe vera sounds safe, however, colorized aloe vera leaf extract has been listed by the OEHHA, along with goldenseal, among "chemicals known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity".

Our Verdict: LOVELY DREAMER Ultra Shea Body Cream is toxic.
